1. Purpose and scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) explains what you may and may not do with AnyRegistration, a service of Tall Timbers Group LLC (“we”, “us”). It applies to every organizer account, every event, ticket, sponsorship, donation, product and message created with the Service, and every payment taken through it.
This Policy is part of our Terms of Service. If they conflict, the stricter rule applies.
Payments on AnyRegistration are processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe and JustiFi. You must also follow each processor’s own rules, including the Stripe Prohibited and Restricted Businesses List. Anything a processor prohibits is prohibited on AnyRegistration, even if this page does not name it.
2. What AnyRegistration is for
AnyRegistration is for real events run by organizations that can be identified: registration and tickets, tables and teams, sponsorships, donations, and the related guest communications. Each payment must be for the event, sponsorship, donation or item described on the page where it was taken, and must be collected for the organization that owns the account.
3. Prohibited businesses and activities
You may not use the Service to sell, promote, fund, or take payments for any of the following:
- Anything illegal where you, the buyer, or the event are located, or any event that is itself unlawful.
- Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia; marijuana, cannabis and cannabis-derived products, including CBD; pseudo-pharmaceuticals, unapproved drugs, and products making unverified health claims.
- Tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping products, and nicotine products.
- Firearms, firearm parts, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, and other weapons, including raffles or auctions of them.
- Gambling and games of chance with a prize, including lotteries, sweepstakes, betting, fantasy sports for money, and casino nights where guests can win money, unless you are licensed or exempt where the event takes place and we have approved it in writing first.
- Adult content and services, including sexually oriented events, escort services, and pornography.
- Counterfeit or unauthorized goods, and anything that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Resale of tickets to events you do not organize, ticket scalping, and buying tickets to resell them.
- Multi-level marketing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, “get rich quick” programs, and investment or business opportunity seminars that promise returns.
- Financial services, including money transmission, check cashing, loans, credit repair, debt collection, currency exchange, stored value or prepaid cards, and the sale of cryptocurrency or other virtual currency.
- Fundraising for anything on this list, or crowdfunding for a person or cause other than the organization that owns the account.
- Content or events that promote hate, violence, terrorism, or harassment against any person or group, or that exploit minors in any way.
- Products or services sold with deceptive, misleading, or high-pressure practices, fake reviews, or social media manipulation.
- Any business, person or country subject to sanctions by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) or a similar authority.
4. Restricted activities that need our approval first
The following are allowed only after you ask us and we agree in writing, and only while you keep any license, registration or exemption they require:
- Alcohol sold separately or included in a ticket price, other than alcohol served by a licensed venue as part of a lawful event.
- Raffles, drawings, and auctions with a prize, which many states regulate even for nonprofits.
- Charitable solicitation where state registration is required, and donations for an organization that is not the account owner.
- Travel packages, tours, and events where payment is taken more than 12 months before the event.
- Memberships, subscriptions, and recurring charges.
- Political campaigns and political action committees.
Email [email protected] before you publish an event that includes any of these. We may ask for documents and may still decline.
5. Payment rules
When you take payments through the Service, you must:
- Describe clearly what the guest is paying for, the price, and when and where the event takes place.
- Publish a refund policy and follow it, and handle refund requests and disputes promptly.
- Charge only for your own organization, and not process payments for another business or person.
- Never use the Service to give cash advances, move money between accounts, or test stolen cards.
- Never split one sale into several to get around a limit, or charge a guest without their permission.
- Deliver the event or item as described, or refund it if the event is cancelled.
6. Messages and guest information
Emails and texts sent through the Service must relate to your event or organization and go to people who registered, gave you their details, or otherwise expect to hear from you. Do not send spam, phishing, or messages that pretend to come from someone else. Use the information guests give you only for your event and your organization, and follow the privacy laws that apply to you.
7. How we enforce this Policy
We review new accounts, events and payment activity. If we believe an account breaks this Policy, a processor’s rules, or the law, we may, without notice, unpublish an event, pause ticket sales or payouts, refund guests, hold funds as a processor requires, close the account, and report the activity to the payment processor or the authorities. Processors may also act on their own.
If you are not sure whether an event is allowed, ask us at [email protected] before you publish it.
8. Reporting a problem
To report an event or account that you think breaks this Policy, email [email protected] with a link to the event page, or use our contact form.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy, for example when a payment processor changes its rules. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
