Guest Speaker

John Tumino

Meet John, the eldest of four brothers, born and raised in Syracuse, NY, to immigrant parents. He's a first-generation American, and a proud one at that!

Nowadays, he, his wife Leigh-Ann,and their daughter call the Northside of Syracuse home sweet home.Back in 2002, John and his brothers opened up Asti Caffe, a well-known establishment on Syracuse's Northside. John wore many hats as the President and Chef until 2011. That's when he and Leigh-Ann had a life-altering encounter with a homeless man holding a cardboard sign. This moment sparked the creation of In My Father's Kitchen, Inc. (IMFK), a non-profit that provides food, essential supplies, and most importantly, hope to those who feel invisible.

John isn't just a boss in the kitchen; he's also an ordained minister with over 30 years of experience serving his local community. He's a mentor to kids, teens, and adults who are allabout changing their lives for the better. John is passionate about educating the public about the challenges the homeless population faces. When John's not cooking up a storm or preaching, you can find him with his family, walking his pup, or cheering on his favorite sports teams.
