Mike O’Connor, who joined Coldspring in 2019, has quickly become known for his thoughtful leadership, strong relationships with employees, and deep understanding of the company’s core values. As CEO, he will continue to build on the legacy established by the Alexander family, becoming the fourth generation to lead the company. Mike's early career was marked by distinguished service as a U.S. Naval Flight Officer. Throughout his 21-year career, he flew combat missions during the Gulf War, operating from multiple aircraft carriers and spending significant time aboard amphibious assault ships working alongside the Marine Corps. This experience honed his operational expertise and ability to lead in demanding environments. Later, he served at Guantanamo Bay, where he played a critical role in assessing detainees and determining their potential threat to the United States and its allies. This demanding assignment further developed his analytical and decision-making skills in high-stakes situations. Mike also served as an instructor and commander, shaping the next generation of naval officers. Mike and his wife of 22 years have four children and are deeply committed to their faith, actively participating in their home church by leading bible studies and youth ministry.
