Manny Cid- Senior Advisor for Economic Opportunity-Miami-Dade County

 After running for Miami-Dade County mayor, Manny Cid was appointed Senior Advisor for Economic Opportunity in the county’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development, where he works to support small businesses, expand economic opportunity, and strengthen workforce development across Miami-Dade County.

Manny Cid is a South Florida public servant, entrepreneur, and community leader best known for his tenure as Mayor of Miami Lakes and his continued involvement in Miami-Dade County government. A Miami-Dade native and the son and grandson of Cuban exiles, Cid began his public service career as a legislative aide in the Florida House of Representatives before being elected to the Miami Lakes Town Council in 2012. He later served as vice mayor and, in 2016, became the town’s youngest mayor at age 33, a role he held for two terms. During his leadership, he focused on economic development, infrastructure improvements, efficient municipal services, and community engagement while promoting Miami Lakes as a business-friendly and family-oriented community.
