Guest Speaker

Daniel Marek

Daniel Marek received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and his Master’s of Health degree from the Sage Colleges. He is currently a health teacher at one of the largest and most acclaimed school districts in the capital region. Teaching high school students for the past decade, you would never expect that he fell backward into his career. God positioned him there to form him and to develop a love for this younger generation. 

As a former wrestling coach and strength and conditioning coach for 8 years, Daniel felt led to step away from coaching to create more space for God to move in his life. Daniel and his wife have regularly served in youth ministry since 2019, led numerous bible studies, and have preached at local youth ministries. Being a committed disciple of Jesus within the confines of a public school has deepened his dependence and desire for God. 

In 2021, he married the love of his life, Rachael, and in 2022, their beautiful daughter Francesca was born. They are expecting their second child in September. 

Daniel has a heart for pouring into and leading others in their discipleship to Jesus. Especially among young men, combating cultural narratives and stereotypes about what a man ought to be in this day and age.
