This time-honored event first began as a way for leaders in our community to come together in faith and was known as the "Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast". 

Celebrating our 61st year, we gather with business and community leaders to pray for the people and places in our community, worship in unity, and hear a powerful message of faith from someone who has experienced a life-changing event.

Come and join us for a served hot breakfast and fellowship and leave encouraged and uplifted as you celebrate the upcoming Easter holiday.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This year, we are at a new venue (DC Centre) and we are offering tables of 8 to groups.

About the Speaker

Doug Peterson

Doug Peterson | former Nebraska Attorney General | currently Of Counsel to multiple firms

Doug was born in Columbus Nebraska and grew up in Lincoln. He graduated from the University Nebraska business College in 1981, and Pepperdine law school in 1985. Doug started his legal career working as a deputy county attorney in North Platte for two years, and then as an assistant attorney general to the Nebraska Attorney General from 1988 to 1990. From 1990 to 2014 Doug was in private practice in Lincoln, Nebraska, litigating matters in employment law, personal injury, and some business litigation. In 2014 he ran for Attorney General, taking office in January of 2015 and serving two terms. In January 2023, Doug returned to private practice with Keating, O’Gara, Nedved & Peter law firm as of counsel.

 

Doug and his wife, Sandi, have three adult children and 10 grandchildren.
